Performance Artist, Marina Abramovic, Who Accused Jay Z of 'Using Her', Apologizes

Jay Z and Performance Artist, Marina Abramovic, have reportedly settled their public spat, which came to the fore earlier this week when the latter accused the rapper of 'totally using' her.

Recall we'd reported during the week that Abramovic had an understanding with Jay Z that involved making a donation to her public art institute when he sought and got her permission to adapt her work 'The Artist Is Present', for his 2013 classic music video, 'Picasso Baby', which she claimed he never fulfiled.

However, in a dramatic turn of events, it turns out Jay Z actually made a donation and has a receipt to authenticate the transaction.

The rapper's Art Advisor, Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn, on Wednesday, May 20 displayed the receipt from the Marina Abramovic Institute to Artnet news. 'Thank you for your donation', the receipt from the Hudson, New York institute reads.

The Marina Abramovic Institute also confirmed that Jay Z had donated after all and issued an apology to the hip-hop mogul and Abramovic for the misunderstanding. 'We are sincerely sorry to both Marina Abramovic and Shawn 'Jay Z' Carter for this, and since then we have taken appropriate actions to reconcile this matter'.
