A troubled former Army officer has brutally murdered his wife over a marital issue by shooting her dead.

Kerry Anderson murdered his wife Jessica

A four-year-old boy's life has been left with permanent scar after his father decided to end it all by shooting his wife dead and killing himself over a marital issue. The little boy was forced to call 911 after the shooting.

According to Dailymail, Veteran Kerry Anderson, 36, killed wife Jessica, 32, at their Graham, Washington, home on Saturday while their three young children were inside.

Police say the father-of-three, who had been working for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) then shot himself.

The youngster told the dispatcher he found his parents lying on the floor following a 'problem' in their home. His five-year-old brother and four-month-old sister, were not hurt in the shooting.

The man's wife died at the scene while the husband died at the hospital. The couple's three children are now being cared for by their relatives.

Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer told KOMO News they believe Mr Anderson had been recently fired from a hospital job and suffered from PTSD.
