Immediate past president, Goodluck Jonathan has spoken out about his former boss, Umaru Musa Yar'Adua as Nigerians remember him.

Goodluck Jonathan took to his Facebook wall today to pay tribute to his former boss, former President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua who died on May 5th 2010, exactly six years today.

Below is what he posted:

He wrote: "Six years ago I lost a dear friend and partner in democracy, peace and progress. President Umaru Musa Yar'adua was a servant leader and a stickler for the rule of law. He may be gone but he is never to be forgotten. I pray for his soul and for him to rest in al Jannah firdaus. GEJ."

Yar'Adua was Nigeria's President from May 2007 till May 5th 2010 when he died after a brief illness.
