A highly respected lawmaker in the House of Representatives has cried out for help against the obnoxious acts being perpetrated by SPDC against some communities in the Niger Delta.

A Nigerian lawmaker, Hon. Sodaguwo A Festus-Omoni House of Reps, Ogbia Constituency, Bayelsa State has cried out against Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) and its failure to honour agreements it had with communities in the Niger Delta as it lifts oil from the region while the people languish in abject poverty.

Hon. Sodaguwo A Festus-Omoni has asked the Federal Government and all related agencies if SPDC is bigger than Nigeria.

She added: "A point to note, SPDC signed an MOU to provide these services, it is right to demand they fulfill the provisions of the MOU, and I will continually insist they fulfill this while I represent my constituents."

Hon. Sodaguwo A Festus-Omoni wants the government to act immediately.
