Pastor's Son Arraigned in Court for Allegedly R*ping Mentally Challenged Girl

A pastor's son was on Friday arraigned in court on suspicion of sexually assaulting a mentally challenged girl.

According to The Kenya, the suspect identified as Joseph Kihuria allegedly assaulted a minor in Ithe Kahuno area in Nyeri County in Kenya.

Appearing before Senior Resident Magistrate Onesmus Towett,  Mr Kihuria denied the charge of  'prostitution of a person with mental disability'.

The prosecution told the court that the suspect forced sexual intercourse with the 11-year old girl having known she was mentally ill, of young age and was not willing to commit the act.

Magistrate Towett released Kihuria on a Sh100,000 bond and a surety of the same with the suspect presenting his father Pastor Francis Kihuria as the surety.

This comes a day after a Nairobi-based pastor was found guilty of murdering his pregnant girlfriend by strangling her.

The brutal murder occurred along the Southern by-pass in Lang’ata as the televangelist, his son and the girlfriend were driving home on March 9, 2012.

The pastor's son is said to have begun the assault by strangling Ms Chinjiri, who was on the co-driver’s seat, using a wire as his father drove at a slow pace.
