See the Notorious Criminals Who Killed a Husband and Wife Before Selling their Baby in Imo State (Photos)

A wicked gang of criminals who brutally murdered a husband and wife before stealing their baby to sell have been arrested.

The deadly criminals caught by the police in Imo State
 
Four heartless criminals who hacked a nursing mother to death and smashed the husband's head with an axe before stealing their five months old baby have been arrested by the police in Imo State.
 
This was revealed by the Imo state commissioner of police, Taiwo Lakanu, while parading the criminal syndicate. According to Lakanu, the suspects sold the infant for three hundred thousand Naira to an already waiting buyer in Okporo community in the Orlu local Government Area of the state.
 
According to Lakanu, the alleged kingpin, Uchenna Ozor, with three others, Prince Etim John of Uto Abak Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom state, Chinazaekpere Nwaenyi of Umuabalike Ihiala in Anambra state and Chukwudi Ngbanwelu, also Umuabalike in Ihiala in Anambra state who allegedly perpetrated the dastardly act had been on the wanted list of the command.
 
He sad that the suspects had confessed to the crime and would soon be charged to court for prosecution.
 
 
The CP also informed that one Samuel Charles, notoriously known as Obere of Igbere in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia state and Chinasa Egwuonwu of Enugu state were arrested for allegedly kidnapping and murder of Simeon in Akwakuma in Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo state.
 
He said that the suspects equally allegedly kidnapped three members of a medical team who they allegedly dispossessed them of their vehicle in Isu LGA of Imo state.. Lakanu confirmed that the two members of the dreaded gang, Chidubem Ogbenna, and Ikenna Ejiogu, have been remanded in prison after they were nabbed by the men of the command.
 
Lakanu said that one Chimezie Ekeanya, of Umuisu Oburu in Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo state was apprehended in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a 70 old Mrs Bernadette Onwuli, of Obokwo in the same Ngor Okpala LGA of the state . According to him, two other accomplices who had earlier escaped have been arrested and would soon be charged to court.
 
 
He called on all relevant stakeholders in the state to keep giving his command the useful information it need, even as he assured that the police have perfected plans to make sure that the Christmas and new year celebrations in the state would be crime free.
