Former Majority Leader of the Senate, Sen. Ali Ndume is still in shock over his sudden and embarrassing removal from his position in the Senate. He revealed that he had attempted to resign three times for the sake of unity among the lawmakers but was stopped.
He said this during plenary on Wednesday as he raised a point of order decrying the unfairness for which he was treated. He said the house never gave him the opportunity of a fair hearing before taking its decision.
He said members of the caucus should have made it known to him why they lost confidence in his leadership.
Ndume, however, thanked APC lawmakers for giving him the opportunity to lead them, while congratulating his successor, Senator Ahmed Lawan, on his appointment.
