Just How Long Should Normal Manhood Be?

An educating and enlightening article written to men who have difficulties accepting the size of their manhood. It's an interesting piece!

Over the ages, men have always asked questions that border on feelings of insecurity and concerns about their own penis size.

In some cultures, the longer the manhood, the more macho a man is considered to be; and the more pleasure it is believed he will give his s*x partner.

However, what the normal size of penis should be has been a subject for debate until now.

A new study published in the British Journal of Urology International had synthesized data from 17 previous academic papers that included measurements from a total of 15,521 men from around the world.

The conclusion: the average flaccid, pendulous penis is 9.16 cm (3.61 inches) in length; the average erect penis is 13.12 cm (5.16 inches) long.

The corresponding girth (a measure around the penis) measurements are 9.31 cm (3.66 inches) for a flaccid penis and 11.66 cm (4.59 inches) for an erect one.

The scientists say that based on their findings, penis size is evenly distributed among men, such that the difference in sizes should not worry anyone who falls into the mid category — that is, not so small and not so big.

The researchers found that in general, five per cent of men would have a penis that is larger than 6.2 inches (16 cm), and another five percent of men would have a penis smaller than 3.94 inches (10 cm).

And when the average penis is fully erect, only five out of 100 men, again representing five percent, will have a p*nis measuring 3.94 inches (10 cm).

How do you measure your penis size?

According to a British psychiatrist, David Veale, all length measurements must be made from the pubic bone to the tip of the glans on the top side of the penis.

Any fat covering the pubic bone is to be compressed before measurement, and any additional length provided by foreskin is not counted.

Circumference is measurable via the base of the penis or around the middle of the shaft, as the two sites are deemed equivalent.

And contrary to popular claims, the researchers say there is no strong evidence to link penis size to other physical features such as height, body mass index, or shoe size. In other words, you can’t correctly gauge the size of a man’s manhood merely by looking at all the aforementioned qualities.

And if you are not satisfied with the size of your manhood, scientists say you are not alone. Indeed, only about 55 per cent of men are satisfied with their penis size, it turns out!

“Men seem to have a very distorted picture of what size other men are, and what they believe they should be,” Veale says.

As for those who may want to respond to those spam mails promising you a magic wand, Veale says, “There are no effective lotions or potions or pills” that can do so.

The bottom line: Accept your size.
