Oh No! 10 APC Chieftains Injured as Thugs Invade Governor-Elect's Inauguration Meeting in Ondo...Shocking Details

Several thugs have caused serious commotion in Ondo State after storming the governor-elect's inauguration meeting to cause havoc.

No less than ten chieftains of the All Progressive Congress APC in ondo state were reportedly injured when some thugs invaded their meeting on the inauguration of the governor- elect, Rotimi Akeredolu, SAN.
 
According to Vanguard, the attack which was allegedly masterminded by a member of the party in the National Assembly happened at the party’s secretariat in Isua area of the state.
 
Amongst those that were molested include a former commissioner for Natural resources, Solagbade Amodeni and other leaders in Akoko south East area of the state.
 
Reports had it that the national assembly member who allegedly surreptitiously worked for the governorship candidate of the Alliance for Democracy AD, Olusola Oke in the last election planned a come back to the party which was resisted by the leaders in the area.
 
After the APC candidate emerged as governor elect, the alleged sponsor made a u-turn but all his attempt to assume the position of the leader of the party were rebuffed.
 
He was accused of wanting to eat where he never sowed.
 
However, at a meeting by leaders of the area ahead of the Friday inauguration, some thugs said to have been sponsored by him invaded the meeting and beat up the leaders while many others were injured.
 
Reports had it that chieftains of the party scampered for safety as the thugs spared non of the leaders in the beating.
 
However, many of the party leaders reportedly sustained injuries and we’re rushed to the hospital while many properties were destroyed at the party secretariat.
 
Vanguard reports that that the crisis started when the national assembly member arrived at the meeting with some of his supporters uninvited.
 
Some ‎members of the party allegedly accused him and his followers of anti-party activities.
 
Vanguard reports that the leaders equally accused some supporters of the national assembly member of‎ decamping to the AD during one of their campaigns.
 
Also his attendance at the meeting after allegedly working against interest of the governor-elect in the last election was challenged after which his supporters went berserk and inflicted injuries on those at the meeting.
 
The meeting ended abruptly as hell was let loose.
 
Speaking on the ‎attack, the former commissioner Solagbade Amodeni said he was molested while his mobile phone and other value items were carted away by the hoodlums.
