A woman has shocked many people with her actions after taking her own life in a train station as many people watched.

Charlotte Cash, a mother-of-four has killed herself in a really tragic way, Metro UK reports.
 
The woman is said to have passed her handbag to a stranger only moments before jumping in front of a train at a crowded station in broad daylight.
 
The 34-year-old woman died after she was hit by a train at Wigan North Western station on Friday afternoon.
 
Witnesses said she had sent a text message before handing her bag to a stranger and jumping off the platform.
 
Jenny Meadows, a British Olympic runner, witnessed the incident and wrote on Twitter: ‘Feeling heartbroken that a young girl has just taken her life in front of me at Wigan train station. If in need please speak out.’
 
She added: ‘She was texting and had a short conversation with a lady. The lady said she seemed fine. Seconds later jumped as train approached.’
 
Another witness named Heather wrote on Twitter: ‘It seemed so calculated as I saw her hand a white bag to a guy. He wouldn’t take it off her and so she put the bag at his feet and then ran off the platform. So sad.’
 
Friends and family have being paying tribute to Ms Cash on social media.
 
 
The train station has been locked temporarily
 
Her half brother Stephen Cash wrote on Facebook: ‘RIP Charlotte Cash. Finding out this morning that my half sister is the person who was hit by a train yesterday.
 
‘Hope your in a better place now. You always seemed so bubbly and smiling when I saw you. Love from all the family xxx’.
 
Damian Jones wrote: ‘Charlotte Cash may your beautiful soul rest in peace. I am proud to have been able to call you my friend.’
 
Elly-May Metcalfe said: ‘My heart breaks for you Charlotte Cash. You was one of the nicest and (most) thoughtful people I’ve ever met. You was there for me when I needed to speak to someone. Just wish I could of been there for you.’
 
Emergency services were called to Wigan North Western station on Wallgate at 3.15pm.
 
The line was closed with trains in and out of the station suspended.
 
A BTP spokesman said: ‘A woman has sadly died after she was struck by a train at Wigan North Western station.
 
‘Officers from British Transport Police were called to the station shortly after 3.15pm and attended alongside paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service.
 
‘This incident is not being treated as suspicious and officers are now working to identify the woman and inform her family.
 
‘A file will be prepared for the coroner.’
 
The body is due to be formally identified today.
