A weird report coming from a Twitter page associated with the main opposition party in Nigeria has painted the loss of popularity of the ailing Nigerian leader current recuperating in the United Kingdom, President Muhammadu Buhari.

According to PDP Youth Frontier @PDPNYF, a disappointed supporter of President Muhammadu Buhari has cut off his thumb used in voting the former military ruler in office during the 2015 general elections.

In the words of the party frontier Twitter handle, “he is ashamed and regretted voting President Buhari in the 2015 election.”

Much details were not provided about the person but a picture of the severed thumb was uploaded on social media. Top commenters have laughed off the story with some people suggesting he could have done himself a favour by cutting off the entire hand or the head he used in nursing the thoughts about Buhari.

It should be noted that the main opposition party in Nigeria, People's Democratic Party currently in leadership crisis has been struggling to gather momentum just as the ruling All Progressives Congress supervises a failing local economy currently in recession.
