Tears as Pretty Delta Lawmaker, Udoh is Buried in Warri After Dying from Cancer (Photo)

It was a mournful mood as the body of the late former Chief Whip of the Delta State House of Assembly was laid to rest.

The late former Chief Whip of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. (Mrs) Beatrice Omawumi 
 
The late former Chief Whip of the Delta State House of Assembly and member representing the people of Warri South Constituency I, Hon.(Mrs.) Beatrice Omawumi Udoh, Nee Asmah, has been laid to rest.
 
Tears flowed uncontrollable in Warri, Delta State as her remains was committed to mother earth.
 
Relatives, family members, political associates as well as loyalists of the lawmaker wept profusely and uncontrollably as the corpse arrived the Catholic Sacred Heart Cathedral for a requiem mass.
 
In attendance was the Delta State Governor, Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa who paid his last respect while extoling the great virtues of the late Hon. Beatrice Omawumi Udoh.

“Beatrice Omawumi Udoh was a legislator with a difference. She contributed in no small measures to the peace we enjoy in the State with the bills she sponsored and co-sponsored. She served her people with a pure heart. We will greatly miss her impact in the state,” the governor said.
 
Also speaking, the Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Monday Ovwigho Igbuta, at a valedictory session yesterday at the House of Assembly, Asaba described Hon. Omawumi Beatrice Udoh as a “great lawmaker, a woman with mental power, political tact and capacity.”
 
Igbuya said,” Udoh was not only influential but also kind-hearted. Hon. Udoh touched so many lives while she lived. Hon. Udoh excelled tremendously to the delight of Deltans.”
 
Igbuya also urged Deltans to emulate Udoh’s commitment to peace, development and her philanthropic spirit.
 
The requiem mass was attended by the wife of Delta State Governor, Dame Edith Okowa, Barr. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, Deputy Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Monday Ovwigho Igbuya, Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly as well as Justice Marshal Umukoro, Chief Judge of Delta State.
 
The late lawmaker recently died at a London hospital at the age of fifty six due to cancer related diseases.
