Shocker: How My Husband Dumped Me for My Brother's Wife Just 4 Months After He Died - Woman Opens Up

Posted by Samuel on Sun 30th Apr, 2017 - tori.ng

A woman has told the incredible story of how she was dumped by her own husband who went for her brother's wife months after his death.

A mum claims her husband dumped her for her brother’s widow – just four months after he died, The Sun UK reports.

Sam Stokes, 31, says she and husband Chris took in her devastated sister-in-law Jo Huskisson after her brother Allan lost his battle with throat cancer.

The martial arts teacher claims that within months of Jo, 32, moving into their home in Walsall, West Mids., she had begun having affair with her husband of 10 years.

She claims that car painter Chris, 32, has since dumped her by text and moved in with their children’s auntie.

The mum-of-three said: “The betrayal has felt like a dagger to my heart.  My first thought after Allan died was for her. We were like sisters.

“I knew she would be in so much pain so I did everything to make sure she was OK. But now she’s abused my kindness. And now I know why Chris was happy to provide a shoulder for her to cry on too.

“The pair of them have ripped apart our entire family.”

Sam claims the affair was well under way by the time she and Chris took Jo on holiday with them to Lanzarote – six months after Allan’s death in March last year.

She says: “Chris often nipped into her room at night. He’d say he was removing cockroaches. He’d be gone for up to half an hour. But I thought nothing of it.”

It was the last thing she would have suspected of her childhood sweetheart and the woman her brother loved so much his dying wish was to marry her.

Secretary Jo had a daughter to Allan in 2014 and the two were engaged with a wedding planned in 2018.

But in 2015 Allan, 32, was diagnosed with stage four throat cancer – and wanted to marry Jo before he died.

So caring sister Sam helped him carry out his wish and even loaned his bride a dress for the wedding in a hospice in Walsall on March 4, 2016. Allan died next day.

Sam was plunged into grief for her brother and for Jo.

But that was shattered in January when she received the bombshell text from Chris.

She says. “Chris wrote, ‘We ain’t happy, we ain’t good for each other. I’ve moved some of my stuff out the house so there isn’t a scene in the street at a later date’.”

Still distraught Sam did not suspect Jo – until she posted her despair on Facebook and a close friend phoned her to reveal who the ‘other woman’ was.

A few hours later the pair spoke on the phone and Jo admitted it.

Sam says: “Jo said she kissed Chris in July and their affair flourished from there.

“It had all been happening under my nose while I believed we were all still grieving for Allan. I felt humiliated, not to mention outraged on behalf of my brother.”

Sam and Chris then sat down with their three children to tell them what had happened.

Sam says: “Explaining their father is now in a relationship with their auntie was devastating.

“They couldn’t get their heads around it.”

Sam, who now plans to divorce Chris, says although she has “lost her best friend, husband and brother” she is trying to focus on the future.

She said: “This will take a long time to get over. But I hope one day to find new love.”

Jo refused to comment while Chris said: “I don’t want our kids to be dragged through this.”
