A bank customer was left in serious pain and anguish after two armed robbers cornered him and snatched N1million he was supposed to deposit at a bank.

There was panic on Wednesday after two armed robbers attacked a man and robbed him of the N1m he was about depositing at the Orji branch of First Bank, in the Owerri North Local Government Area of Imo State.

According to Punch, the victim is a staff of the Nwaozuzu petroleum filling station in Akabo in the Ikeduru LGA of the state. He was reportedly taking the money to the bank when the two gunmen, operating a motorcycle, trailed and attacked him just opposite the bank.

According to an eyewitness, the victim was attacked by the gunmen and took away the bag containing the money immediately he alighted from a commercial bus. The man was left distraught and helpless after the sad incident.

The police is yet to release a statement on the incident.
