See Pastor Who Duped His Friend US$1400 by Selling Another Person's Land to Him (Photo)

 

A man believed to be a pastor at Life in Christ Ministries in Norton area of Zimbabwe is standing accused of duping another clergyman of cash in a botched residential stand sale deal.

 

According to H-metro, Pastor Blessing Chemera is standing accused of duping his fellow pastor Douglas Mugadza of US$1400 in a botched residential stand sale deal.

 

Mugadza who is said to be a pastor at the Covenant Faith Ministries was a friend of Chemera from the bible college. Pastor Chemera was arrested and taken to the Harare magistrates’ court charged with fraud. The 35-year-old man of cloth denied the charges when he appeared before magistrate Ereck Kadye.

 

State counsel, Lovemore Siamunda alleges that sometime in September last year Chemera approached Mugadza saying he was selling a stand in Phase 17.

 

Reports are that Mugadza expressed interest in buying the stand and paid US$1 400 towards the purchase of the said piece of land.

 

Prosecutor Siamunda had it that Pastor Mugadza discovered that his fellow clergyman had duped him after he made a follow-up and insisted that he wanted to see the piece of land he had paid for.

 

Pastor Chemera alleged became evasive and failed show Mugadza the stand.

 

Irked by his actions Mugadza took the matter to the police leading to Chemera’s arrest.

 

He was taken to court charged with fraud.
