The Touching Moment a Man 'Proposed' to 5-year-old Girl (Photos)

 

A man identified as Grant Tribbett has proposed to his girlfriend's beloved five-year-old daughter pledging to love and protect her till the rest of his life, Dailymail reported. 

 

Tribbett, 29, took his girlfriend Cassandra Reschar and her daughter Adrianna out for breakfast in Indiana on May 27 where he first surprised his girlfriend before vowing in a dramatic manner to protect Reschar's little daughter.

 

Writing about the spectacular moment, Reschar wrote in a post on The Knot's How He Asked.

 

'After anxiously eating breakfast, hoping and praying he wasn't going to get down on one knee in the middle of a very busy Saturday morning brunch, we left,' the 26-year-old wrote.

 

 

He then took the girls to Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve where Reschar said she knew something was up.

 

'We walked a mile in the woods, all the while I was wearing heels. It was quite the adventure, let me tell you! Finally, we got to a wooden bridge in the middle of the forest and he got down on one knee,' she said.

 

 

 

'Screaming with joy she said, 'I finally get a daddy mommy, I finally get a daddy!' He presented her with a beautiful heart necklace as a symbol that she now carries a piece of his heart with her.' 

 

 

The touching moment was captured by the couple's friend and photographer Mandi Gilliland who was hiding nearby.

 

Tribbett and Reschar met through Facebook and started dating seven months ago. 

 

She said she had always struggled to find the time to go out on dates given she had full custody of her daughter Adrianna. 

 

'The past six and half months haven’t been a walk in the park but with all the life challenges that were brought our way we have only come out stronger and more in love with one another,' Reschar wrote.

 

'I have gotten to witness an attractive, charming bachelor become a positive, loving and utterly the most selfless father to my little girl.'
