The massive predator was reeled in by hand
A quite terrifying footage has captured the moment a fisherman wrestled with an absolutely huge great white shark after getting his hook caught in its jaws.
The men reeled in the massive ocean predator while fishing along the US coast.
In the clip, filmed in the dead of night, the pair are seen wrestling with the humongous beast with their bare hands.
They pull the shark into the shallow water but disaster strikes and the men are unable to free the hook from the shark’s mouth.
As one of the fishermen holds its jaws open, the other puts his hand between the killer’s teeth.
The man almost loses his hand when the shark snaps its jaws shut
Seconds later, it clenches its jaws shut – missing the fishermen’s fingers by mere centimetres.
Eventually the men decided to hold on to their digits and release the shark with the hook still in its mouth.
“So they caught a shark for sport and in return that shark now has a hook lodged in its mouth for life?” one viewer said.
Another responded: “Would you go sticking your hands in that thing’s jaw?”
A third added: “I bet this was not as easy as they made it look.”
