Governor Willie Obiano is confident about winning the gubernatorial election in Anambra when most of the results are going in his favour.
Governor Willie Obiano
Incumbent governor and candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Willie Obiano, has declared that he will win Saturday’s governorship election in Anambra State by a landslide.
Shortly after casting his vote at Eri Ward, in Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area, Obiano said, “I am very confident that at the end of the day, I will win this election by a landslide.”
Early results that trickled in from different parts of the state on Saturday evening indicated that Obiano was leading, with the All Progressives Congress candidate, Tony Nwoye, coming after him.
Obiano’s fingerprint could not be recognised by the Direct Data Capturing machine, but the governor was able to vote after his voter’s card was verified by the device.
“My card was verified but they said they couldn’t read my fingerprints,” he said.
