Housewife Hits Husband To Death In Front Of Many Neighbours

A housewife has reportedly hit her own husband to death in the presence of many people who had gathered to stop their altercation.

According to a report by Daily Trust, a housewife identified as Salamatu Shehu had hit her husband to death in Rafin Gero village of Anka local government area of Zamfara state in front of other residents.
 
The assault on Mallam Shehu by his wife was sequel  to a fight that ensued between the couple after the husband had indicated his interest to go for a second wife sources close to the village told Daily Trust.
 
But another resident told Daily Trust on Saturday that the husband had an erection problem and could not satisfy the husband sexually despite bitter complaints from the wife. He later decided to divorce her for another wife after he could no longer put up with her harsh attitude towards him.
 
Salamatu grabbed a stool and hit her husband and he fell unconscious despite effort by other residents to shield him from the attack. He was rushed to hospital and died shortly after wards.
 
The spokes man of the state police command SP Muhammad Shehu said the suspect had since been arrested and upon interrogation and she confessed to her crime.
 
"Investigation is ongoing at the SCID and she  will soon be charged to court for prosecution. The Command is using this medium to call on members of public to be law abiding and avoid taking laws into their hands. Instead, they should report all complaints to the nearest police formation for action.
