Mikel is trending because he has melted the hearts of many Nigerians after news emerged that he played against Argentina at the world cup just hours after learning that his father had been kidnapped,
Apparently, hearing about his father's kidnap broke him, but he still went on to fight for his country at the world football stage.
And now, even though Super Eagles lost the match, Nigerians have taken to social media to praise the midfielder for his selfless gesture at lifting his country on shoulders and trying his best to bring glory to it.
