As it is expected, mixed reactions have trailed the official release of the Ministerial list President Muhammadu Buhari sent to the Senate, last Wednesday, September 30.

The Senate is expected to flag off the screening of the 21 nominees on Tuesday next week, according to Senate President, Bukola Saraki, after reading out the names.

Some minutes after Saraki read out the names, Senate Minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio, called on President Buhari to release the remaining list immediately, stressing that since it took the president four months to announce the partial list, it might take a longer period for the complete list to be out.

Other PDP senators also moved to oppose the presentation of the list in batches, but Saraki only noted their observations as the Senate proceeded with other businesses of the day.

Reacting to the list on Tuesday, October 6, PDP said there was nothing exciting about the names.

“By a mere look at the list, one can tell that there is nothing to be excited about, especially considering the length of time it took the president to come up with it,” the party said.

Its National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh, in a statement said going by the names on the list, it shouldn’t have taken the president six months to assemble the team.

According to the party, the list and the length of time it took further confirmed the fact that the APC-led administration was driven by propaganda and deceit.
