An alleged notorious and serial kidnapper widely known as 'General' was on Wednesday shot dead by officials of the Nigerian Police after a gun battle in Rivers community.

The operatives of the Nigeria Police from the Anti Cultism Unit in Rivers State, have shot dead a notorious and serial kidnapper popularly known as 'General', in Omademe community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state.
Multiple online reports reveal that the infamous hoodlum had been a terror in the community before a manhunt was launched by the security operatives in a bid to finally end his reign of terror in the oil-rich region.
He was reportedly killed in a gun battle with the security agents.
