A man accused of murder has finally regained his freedom after spending 6 years in prison for a crime he didn't commit.

After spending six years in jail for a crime he didn't do, a Nigerian man identified as Chukwuma Okpara has regained his freedom.
He was reportedly held at the prison in Owerri, Imo state capital for a crime he did not commit. It was revealed that the man was wrongly accused, arrested and incarcerated at the state CID over a man’s death even as he pleaded innocent.
He was later remanded in prison for murder.
Evangelist Christian Chukwuka who visited the prison last year and advocated improvement of inmates in the prison, met with the man and prayed for him.
The man who was charged to court for murder was later discharged and acquitted this year after spending six years in prison.
