Breaking News: INEC Declares Kayode Fayemi Winner Of Ekiti Election

The APC candidate in the Ekiti state gubernatorial election, Kayode Fayemi, has been declared the winner.

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared Dr. Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress as the winner of the July 14 governorship election, Punch Metro reports.
 
The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan and Returning Officer for the election, Prof. Idowu Olayinka, said he had satisfied the requirement of the law by polling the highest lawful votes in the election.
 
Fayemi polled 197, 459 to beat Prof. Kolapo Olusola of the Peoples Democratic Party who scored 178,121 votes.
