An unnamed man, who accused American superstar, Chris Brown, of assaulting him during a Basketball game, has called cops to discontinue the case against the R&B singer.
Chris Brown, who risked running foul of the law after the Las Vegas police department on Monday released a statement saying he had assaulted an unnamed man during a pick-up basketball game inside his hotel suite, has been vindicated.
The man claimed he was playing basketball at the Palms Casino Resort, where Breezy was lodged, when a verbal altercation led to a physical confrontation between himself, Chris Brown and another person.
But in a twist of events, the same man called cops on Tuesday telling them he was not going to press charges and wants the case against the singer dropped.
He did not explain why but the cops have obeyed his request and the case has been declared closed. LVMPD will no longer press charges.
Meanwhile, Chris Brown, who turned 26 on Tuesday, released a statement denying the allegation that he was involved in a brawl with the said man.
"Chris is currently in Las Vegas as he is performing at Drais on May 5 and receiving a Key to the Strip that day as well.
"He has a suite at the hotel that has a basketball court and invited friends to come play. An unruly individual showed up uninvited and was removed from the premises. Chris was not in an altercation with this person", the terse statement read.
