Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has faulted the laying of siege on Senate President Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu by the Nigerian police.

According to The Independent, Atiku made this known in a press statement by Segun Showunmi, Spokesman, Atiku Abubakar Presidential Campaign Organisation.

It read: “We are outraged at the information reaching us which suggests that our democracy is under unprecedented attack. Separation of powers and an independent Legislator is the hallmark of a stable democracy.

“We call on President Buhari to call take charge and call security operatives to order. The world is watching and we so are Nigerians.”
