University of Ibadan students protest after death of colleague

The unfortunate death of a 200-level student of the university of Ibadan has led to massive protest by his fellow students. The students marched out in numbers as they blame his death on the negligence of the school board.

University of Ibadan students have went on a protest over the death of one of its own that died due to negligence.
 
According to PMNEWSNIGERIA, the students had marched out in their hundreds to protest the death of a student, Mayowa Alaran. Alaran was a 200L student of Human Kinetics who suddenly slumped due to an asthma attack while watching a football match at his hostel hall yesterday night.
 
A student who identified himself as Siji said, “The medical students on ground tried their best. They gave him mouth to mouth respiration to resuscitate him to no avail. Eventually, we carried him straight to the hospital. On getting to the hospital, a staff on duty did not accept him asking the sick person who could not talk to produce his clinic card or tell them his matriculation number. About thirty minutes after, the boy gave up the ghost.”
 
The aggrieved students who protested his death, blocked the Mokola-Oojo road, which made a lot of motorists turn back.
