The Kano State governor, Umar Ganduje has been conferred with an Igbo chieftaincy title in the South-East.

Umar Ganduje, the governor of Kano state, has received an Igbo chieftaincy title in Abia state.
 
The governor was conferred with the Chieftaincy title of Aguna Eche'mba 1 of Ndigbo, (Lion that protects Igbo people) by the Chairman of the Abia State and South East Council of Traditional Rulers His Eminence, Eze Eberechi Dick.
 
Photos from the event show the governor dressed in traditional Igbo clothes with a big smile on his face. The man's wife is also seen by his side in an equally joyous mood.
