Nigerians Remember Dr Stella Adadevoh Who Sacrificed Her Life To Save The Nation From Ebola 4 Years Ago

Nigerians have celebrated Dr Stella Adadevoh who practically sacrificed her life to help end the spread of Ebola in Nigeria.

When the deadly Ebola disease broke out in Nigeria some four years ago in 2014, it was pure panic that took over everywhere. People stopped giving each other handshakes for fear of contacting the disease and some businesses nearly folded up for lack of customers.
 
However, there were some people who worked tirelessly day and night to help stop the spread of the virus. Some of them even paid with their lives. One of those people was Dr. Stella Adadevoh.
 
Dr. Stella Adadevoh, a medical personnel died after she contracted the deadly Ebola disease while trying to prevent its spread in Nigeria four years ago. Her heroic act has been remembered by Nigerians.
 
She is now being celebrated for having prevented a wider spread of the virus by placing the patient, Patrick Sawyer in quarantine despite pressures from the Liberian government.
 
On 4 August 2014, it was confirmed that she had tested positive for Ebola virus disease and was being treated. She however died from the disease on August 19th.
