A pastor has paid with his life after unknown gunmen stormed his church and killed him before kidnapping his wife.

A pastor identified as Reverend Hosea Akuchi has died after unknown gunmen attacked his Nasara Baptist Church, Guguwa, near Rigasa in Igabi local government area of Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the pastor’s wife was also abducted by the gunmen as the kidnappers have placed a N5 million ransom on her head, according to reports.
The gunmen reportedly invaded the church premises at about 1:00a.m. on Monday and forced their way into the apartment of the clergyman, shot him and took his wife, Mrs. Talatu Hosea Akuchi, away.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Kaduna Police Command, DSP Yakubu Sabo had earlier confirmed that the clergyman was shot while struggling with attackers whose intention may be to abduct him.
However, Sabo, who earlier confirmed the killing of the reverend, said that no ransom was placed on the abducted woman.
