A closed-door meeting between the Independent National Electoral Commission and the National Assembly is currently ongoing in Abuja over the 2019 election budget.

The National Assembly joint committee on INEC has begun the consideration of harmonised version of the 2019 election budget, PUNCH reports.
The lawmakers went into a closed-door session after the co-Chairman, Suleiman Nazif, said the opening prayers and asked members to introduce themselves.
After the introductions, a member of the committee moved a motion for the meeting to go into a closed-door session, the motion was seconded and passed. The chairman now asked reporters to leave the hall.
