Ahead of the 2019 general election in Nigeria, former vice president who is a presidential hopeful, has visited the country's former military presidents.

Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday, paid a visit to Nigeria's former military ruler, General Ibrahim Babangida, and former Head of State, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, in Minna, the Niger State capital.
The 2019 presidential aspirant held a meeting with the former military presidents behind closed doors during the visit which formed part of his activities as he visited Niger State for an interaction with PDP stakeholders in Minna.

Atiku who was accompanied on the visit by chieftains of the PDP, appreciated the party members for welcoming him to the "Power State", as he described it.
A tweet via his handle read: "The reception and interaction with stakeholders of our great party @OfficialPDPNig in Minna today was exhilarating. Happy to be in The Power State and thank you for the time."
