Alexis Sanchez of Manchester United has taken to his social media page to reveal that he has split from his girlfriend.

Manchester United’s Alexis Sanchez announced he has split from his girlfriend Mayte Rodriguez on Wednesday.
However, he chose to do so in unique fashion, with an Instagram story tribute video.
The short clip, accompanied by Sia’s ‘Helium’ in the background, featured photos from the couple’s relationship, along with the following message.
“I wish you the best of the world, it was beautiful to have met you and to share nice moments with you, but we decided that everyone should follow their own path to seek our dreams.
“I do not usually do this, but I ask respect from those who speak without knowing to hurt, because behind everything there are family and children.”
Rodriguez opted for a simpler message herself, simply posting: “A while ago, with a lot of love and respect, we decided to end our relationship and take different paths, wishing us all the happiness for our lives.”
