17 people have sustained varying degrees of injuries following a scary road accident which took place in the South-western part of Nigeria.

A road mishap involving three vehicles on Monday evening left one dead with 17 others injured along Ilisan – Ijebu-Ode expressway in Ogun state.
It was gathered that the accident involved an Iveco truck marked FST 710 XQ, a Mazda bus with registration number, AGL 724 XQ and an unmarked vehicle.
The Mazda bus was said to have loaded passengers from Kuto motorpark in Abeokuta going to Ijebu-Ode when the accident occurred at a valley between Old Ilisan Road and Babcock University junction on Salami/Ijebu-Ode expressway.
The spokesman of the Traffic Enforcement and Compliance Corps (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi, who confirmed the incident, blamed it on excessive speeding on part of Mazda bus driver.
He said the victim’s corpse has been deposited at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, while the injured are receiving medical treatment at the emergency unit of the Babcock University Teaching Hospital, Ilisan-Remo.
