President Buhari Withdraws Ibeto as Ministerial Nominee

President Muhammadu Buhari has withdrawn the name of immediate past Deputy Governor of Niger State, Ahmed Musa Ibeto as a ministerial nominee.

Ahmed Musa Ibeto

The Senate President, Bukola Saraki, on Wednesday read out a letter sent by President Buhari on the withdrawal of Ibeto.

It wil be recalled that Ibeto fell out with his principal, the immediate former governor of Niger State, Babangida Aliyu after defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ibeto made the first batch of 21 ministerial nominees sent to the Senate President by Buhari on September 30.

However, it is gathered that the withdrawal of Ibeto’s name may not be unconnected to the fact that like Ibeto, another ministerial nominee, Abubakar Bawa Bwari, who was among the second batch of 16 nominees announced by Senate President yesterday, also hails from Niger State.
