Traditional Ruler, 2 Others Arraigned in Court for Armed Robbery and Rape

A royal father has been arraigned with two others over allegations of rape and armed robbery.

 
A traditional ruler, Chief Jimoh Balogun from Odo-Onosa village in Epe area of Lagos state and two others were yesterday arraigned before the state High Court sitting in Igbosere for alleged armed robbery and rape. 
 
The other two are Morufu Adekoya and Adefowope Kazeem were arraigned on a four count charge of conspiracy, armed robbery and rape.
 
It was revealed that the defendants robbed and raped one Adeomi Ayomide on March 26, 2014, at about 10:30am at Odo-onosa village in Epe. 
 
The prosecuting officer, Babatunde Oguntemowo informed the court that the defendants also robbed Ayomide of the sum of N272,000, expensive wristwatches and three laptops while armed with guns and dangerous weapons.
 
Oguntemowo went further to tell the court that the defendants also robbed one Korede Fayibo of a television set, one DVD player, valuables and an unspecified amount of money.
 
The case was heard by the court and has been further adjourned to a later date.
