Disgraced former governor, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha has slammed reports that he is planning to contest governorship election on the platform of APC in the next election. He says he has no intention to be governor after already occupying the position for 2 terms.
Former Governor of Bayelsa State, Diepreye Alamieyeseigha has countered rumors claiming he's defecting to the All Progressives Congress, APC to run for governor.
Speaking to PREMIUM TIMES in Abuja, Alamieyeseigha said, ''Having served my people as governor about 10 years ago, I don’t have any intention to go back to Government House. After all I did not forget anything in Government House and nobody should draw me into such games''.
The former governor added that he remains a staunch member of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) and has no intention of abandoning the party.
