Nigerians will soon be at peace over the rumoured return of queues in some filling stations as Ships loaded with petroleum arrives Lagos Wharf.
There are indications that the impending fuel crisis about to hit the country has been handled as forty eight ships laden with foods and petroleum products are expected to arrive Lagos ports from Oct. 14 to Nov.1.
This fact was released by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) in Lagos in its daily publication – ‘Shipping Position- made available to newsmen on Wednesday in Lagos.
The report indicated that about 17 of the expected ships would sail in with containers, while seven others would arrive general cargoes.
The NPA said 17 of the expected ships would sail in 17 other ships would arrive with frozen fish, buck wheat, bulk sugar and bulk salt while the remaining seven will sail in with base oil, petrol, diesel and aviation fuel.
According to a News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports, the port has received 12 ships in the wharf. A breakdown of the statistics shows that 10 of the ships sailed in with petrol, while the other two brought bulk gas and general cargoes.
