One of Nigeria's most respected actresses, Funke Akindele has asked her fans to desist from competing with other people on social media.
According to her, everyone should be true to themselves.
It is no longer news that on a daily basis, many people on social media, especially celebrities, show off their wealth and luxury possessions for others to see. Some of these possessions include designer bags and shoes as well as expensive cars and clothes.
This, of course, gets the better of the majority of poorer people who may want to go out of their ways to "live up" to the trend and thus live above their means by buying designer bags and shoes they cannot afford.
However, Funke, in a new post she made on Instagram, advised her fans to stop comparing their lives with those who post shiny things on social media, but instead focus on improving themselves.
