A man in an apparent bid to end his life has jumped into the Lagos lagoon leaving many people in serious shock.

People were left in a state of shock today after a yet-to-be identified adult male jumped into the Lagoon in an apparent suicide attempt.
The incident which took place this morning forced men of the Lagos State Waterways Authority (LASWA) and local fishermen to rush to his rescue preventing him from drowning.
He was rescued and is presently receiving medical attention from paramedics.
