A woman has been dragged to court for brutally assaulting her maid and inflicting several body injuries on her.
Identified as Karen Munini, the woman was on Wednesday, October 14, arraigned in court after she allegedly assaulted her house help on Tuesday night in Kasarani, Kenya, leaving her with bruises.
Kasarani OCPD Robinson Mboloi said the house help, Esther Ngaliman, 20, was rescued by neighbours and the area chief. She was taken to Kikuyu Mission Hospital where she was treated for head and chest injuries.
The girl sustained head injuries and her employer was arrested by the chief and brought to the station on the same day, a source said.
The mother of two, pleaded not guilty to assault charges. The case is however still on in court.
