While speaking during a solemn protest on the alleged killing of an aide worker, Hauwa Leman, who was killed by Boko Haram insurgents on Monday, an indigene of Borno state, Barrister Fatima Abdullahi, said Mama Hauwa is still living in denial.

Mama Hauwa as she is fondly called by many, revealed that she is yet to believe her daughter is dead, adding that she believes her daughter is still alive and could not have been killed by the terrorists as threatened.

Abdullahi who said she spoke with the deceased's mother, said: "I spoke to her yesterday, she told me she heard that Hauwa will be killed. We spoke again this morning, she said she it is not possible that Hauwa is dead.

"As a mother she's not even devastated because she has not even accepted that Hauwa is dead. She's still living in denial, hoping that her daughter will come back. She told me she is still hoping and praying for her daughter safe return.

"We need to agree in this country that every life matters, every mother wouldn't mind if you empty the vault of CBN to rescue her child. We are saddened by Hauwa's execution and we are very disappointed."
