Gallant soldiers of the Nigerian army have successfully killed a Boko Haram terrorist trying to infiltrate their base in Borno.

Troops of 3 Battalion Repel BHT Attack in Logomani Borno State. Vigilant troops of 3 Battalion of the Nigerian Army at about 11 pm on 24 Oct 18 engaged some elements of BHT who attempted to infiltrate the Forward Operations Base at Logomani on horsebacks.
Four Boko Haram terrorists were neutralized with their horses.
During further exploitation, the troops discovered one dead body on a local stretcher hurriedly made with sticks for evacuation. A live horse was also captured.
However, 2 soldiers had minor injuries and one member of CJTF had gunshot wounds.
Thereafter, a civilian trailer fell into an IED planted by Boko Haram to prevent own troops from possible reinforcements.
The trailer axle, back-screen and tires were damaged as a result.
The Acting GOC 7 Div Brig Gen Bulama Biu immediately visited the gallant troops and commended their gallantry and assured them of sustained logistics and welfare.
