Joke too far! A boy called Police because he doesn't like his parents' choice of music.
A 15-year-old boy sparked a kidnap alert on a German motorway near Kaiserslautern when armed police stopped and searched the family's car thinking that the parents were kidnappers.
The boy who was pissed having to listen to his parents’ choice of 1960s hits including The Beatles and Tom Jones on the family's car radio on a long car journey secretly scribbled the word 'Help' and the car's number on a piece of paper and dropped it out of the window.
The paper was picked up by a motorist following the family car who called the police after reading the note. He thought the writer had been kidnapped and gave police useful information.
Police acting on the information dropped by the boy, mounted a road-block and stopped the boy's family car. The cops ordered the occupants to get out and searched the vehicle thinking that it was real kidnapping.
It was later clarified that it was just a prank from the boy.
A statement released by a police spokesman said: ”The little misunderstanding was soon cleared up and they continued their journey. But I would not have liked to be in the son’s shoes.”
