National Day Of Mourning: Labour Shuts Down Lagos Roads

Labour unions have shut down Lagos roads as they march through major highways to demand for the implementation of a new minimum wage.

According to Sun News, the Organised Labour as promised is presently marching through the major highway of Lagos State, practically shutting down the roads.
 
Labour has said that today would be observed as a National Day of Mourning and Outrage in protest against Federal Government apathy to their demand for new mininum wage.
 
According to the three labour centres, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and the United Labour Congress (ULC), the March is also to sensitize Nigerians on the November 6 scheduled strike for N30,000 minimu Wage.
 
The workers had marched from Ojuelegba under bridge in Surulere area of Lagos from 7 a.m through Onipanu, Anthony to the Freedom park in Ojota.
