The Brazil international joined the Reds during the summer for £56 million (€62.5m) – which, at the time, was a record for a goalkeeper – and the 26-year-old has enjoyed an impressive start to his career at Anfield.
However, Alisson makes Goal's annual list of the world's best players because of his exploits with Roma last season, as well as his performances for his country at the 2018 World Cup.

Alisson also racked up 17 clean sheets in Serie A as Eusebio Di Francesco's side qualified for this season's Champions League with a third-placed finish before helping Brazil reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup in Russia, with the former Internacional No.1 going 323 minutes without conceding a goal along the way.
His fine form earned him a money-spinning summer switch to Merseyside, while he has now been recognised as the outstanding goalkeeper of 2018.
