Prince Charles Visits Commonwealth War Graves In Abuja (Photos)

Prince Charles, the Duke of Cornwall has visited the Commonwealth war graves in the Federal Capital Territory.

Prince Charles has, during the last day of his visit to Nigeria, paid a visit to the Commonwealth War Graves in Abuja, where, he laid a wreath.
 
According to Clarence House, on Twitter, the heir to the British throne visited the graves on Thursday morning.
 
It was also revealed that this year marks the 100th year, since the end of the First World War.
 
“This year is the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War and members of the Royal Family are honouring people around the Commonwealth, who have sacrificed their lives in conflict,” tweeted @ClarenceHouse.
 
The Nigerian National Military Cemetery contains not only the Abuja Memorial erected by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission but also has memorials commemorating more recent conflicts.
