Early Morning Road Crash Injures 2 in Ogun

About two people got injured in the early hours of Monday when a trailer lost control due to brake failure

 
Two people were left seriously injured on Monday in Sango-Ota area of Ogun state when an accident occurred at the old Tollgate between Lagos and Ogun States.
 
According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Unit Commander in Ota, Mr. Leye Adegboyega confirmed that the accident occurred at about 4.20 am.
 
“The accident involved a trailer with registration no. DUT 142 XA and two other vehicles. The trailer which was coming from Abeokuta lost control due to brake failure and rammed into a commercial bus and a Toyota car. Four people were involved in the accident, but only two sustained serious injuries,’’ he said.
 
He said the accident was caused as a result of over-speeding by the trailer driver. Adegoyega also confirmed that the two victims are receiving treatment in a private hospital. He called on drivers to be careful when driving and ensure that their cars are in good condition before embarking on any journey.
