Amaechi Denies Storming Saraki's Residence Over Delay in Ministerial Screening

Contrary to reports in one of the country's national dailies, ministerial nominee, Rotimi Amaechi has stated that he did not storm the resident of Senate President to protest his delayed screening.

The former Rivers State governor, Mr. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has denied reports that he stormed the residence of the President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki following the failure of the Senate to screen him last week.
 
Amaechi who is billed to appear before the Senate today, Tuesday, October 20, 2015, also refuted reports that he raised his voice to express his frustration before leaving the residence without seeing the Senate President.
 
In a statement issued in Port Harcourt, on Monday, October 19 through the head of his media office, David Iyofor, Amaechi said the report is not only false and baseless, but a deliberate attempt to soil his reputation.
