The speaker of the House Representatives, Dogara, had a private meeting with six ministerial nominees yesterday.

Hon. Yakubu Dogara, Speaker of the House of Representatives, on Monday, October 19, held a closed-door meeting with six of the ministerial nominees ahead of the continued screening by the Senate.
The nominees he met with in his office were Senator Heineken Lokpobiri (Bayelsa), Gen Mansur Dan Ali (Zamfara), Mrs. Aisha Abubakar (Sokoto), Hon. Khadijah Bukar Ibrahim (Yobe) and Mrs. Zainab Ahmed (Kaduna) and Mr. Muhammad Bello (Adamawa).
Sketchy details of the meeting revealed that all the nominees, with the exception of Dan Ali, are facing opposition from different groups over their nomination.
They are expected to be screened this week, as the exercise continues in the Senate Tuesday.
